I work on research challenges like autonomous vehicle communication and locked-in syndrome communication with a groovy team from the Design Lab at UC San Diego. Before research, I've had past lives as a bartender, satire newspaper column writer, and amateur speedskater. I have yet to try all three at once.
Offline, I enjoy long-distance running, rollerskating, and writing. (If you have a running or hiking trail to recommend, I would love to hear about it). I have a weakness for snail mail, and any jelly bean or drink that is colored blue.
